This ice maker gets the job done. Pour water in, turn it on, choose cube size and let it go. Ice starts coming out every 8 minutes. The instructions for turning it on and starting it are a little confusing. You need to fill it with water choose cube size and then press the power button again. That is what starts it. It’s a little loud but it works fast and then can easily be put away once you get the ice that you want. The scoop is entirely too small to be helpful. It does the job but isn’t the most sophisticated.

This ice maker is awesome! It has two settings for large or small ice cubes. I actually timed the machine to see how long it took to make a set of ice cubes and it took 8 minutes to make 8 cubes. That's not super fast but as long as you keep refilling the machine with water and emptying it, you can make quite a few cubes over the course of a day. I'll be using this to stockpile ice cubes for holiday events and for camping trips when summer rolls around. It has sensors that stop the machine from making ice cubes when the tray is full of ice cubes and to stop the machine when it is out of water. I think it's important to note that the only con I can think of is that this will not keep ice cold. The basin/ice tray area acts more like a cooler than a freezer so the ice will slowly melt once formed. This means it is important to empty the ice maker frequently so that the ice doesn't melt too much. When wet ice is placed into a freezer there is always the possibility that it will freeze in large clumps but it doesn't take much force to separate the cubes if this happens. Overall I'm really happy with this unit and if you too are looking for an ice maker this might be the one for you.

This ice maker was so easy to plug in and start using right away. With a short 3 minute self clean it's ready to start producing ice. There is only the removable basket and Ice scoop as accessories it's easy to use and keep clean. I think that is a very important feature in an ice maker is the ability to keep it clean. I had ice within 8 minutes and had the entire basket full within an hour or so. I liked the larger ice over the smaller size. I could see if you like to chew or suck on ice the smaller size would be great for that. Fizzy drinks would be great with the smaller size. The smaller size gives you that restaurant feel. The Larger give you the purchased ice feel.
It fits nice on the counter top but small enough to be considered portable. I can see taking this to a friends house for a party to make ice. It produces ice fast enough to keep your guests cups filled with fresh cold ice. I found myself putting the extra ice in large zip locks to enjoy later. This ice is also great for frozen drinks. A quick whip in the blender and you have your favorite drink in no time.
I see some reviews saying it's loud. I do not think it's loud at all. You will hear the ice drop but as for the machine I think the sound would fall into the background like a dishwasher.
This is a great machine for the price point and I would recommend picking this one up. It's as easy as fill, push the button and scoop the ice. I love it!

I've had for 3days and have done two full runs of ice. Works as represented in ad. Does not take up much space in our travel trailer.
